The Blue Dog was born in 2017 in the studio of artist Serge Gauya. What began as a spontaneous sketch quickly revealed a character with a strong and unmistakable identity. With a few lines and a deep, vibrant shade of blue, a new figure emerged, one that would soon captivate audiences.

From its earliest exhibitions, particularly in Montreux, Switzerland, the Blue Dog immediately resonated with the public. Its gaze, both mysterious and expressive, drew viewers in and gave the work a unique presence within contemporary art.

Soon, the Blue Dog stepped beyond the canvas. Sculptures were created and presented at international art events, including the Florence Biennale in 2023. Monumental two-meter sculptures displayed along the shores of Lake Geneva captured the attention of passersby before traveling to remarkable locations around the world.

Today, the Blue Dog continues its journey across continents, from Europe to Dubai, from the United States to South America, captivating collectors and art enthusiasts alike. What began as a simple brushstroke has grown into a recognizable artistic symbol and the signature of Serge Gauya’s creative universe.

The Blue Dog is now a registered trademark, reinforcing its identity within the international art scene.

The story continues to expand. A children’s book inspired by the Blue Dog is now available, introducing the character to a new generation, while new artistic projects are already in development.
